Local Laws – Local Law Permits.

Local Law No 1 (2000) came into effect on 4 January 2001.

The following activites require a Local Law permit.

Applications should be made in accordance with the Local Law No 1 (2000) and Borough of Queenscliffe Policy & Procedures Manual (see the links to these documents in the 'Downloads' section on the right).

Bringing a Horse or Donkey onto Public Land

Builders Construction of Temporary Vehicle Crossing

Camping or keeping a caravan on public land

Conduct a road activity

Constructing a vehicle crossing

Consumption of liquor on public land

Disabled Parking Permit

Erecting a Booth or Stall Scaffolding on Public Land

Filming in the Borough of Queenscliffe

Fly an engine powered model airplane

Helicopter Landing

Holding a Garage Sale

Itinerant Trading

Keeping an animal or bird not listed

Keeping more animals or birds than prescribed

Lighting a Fire in the Open

Place a skip on public land

Placing Signs, Displaying or Storing Goods on Public Land

Planting on or removal of plants from naturestrip

Removing paint etc, painting or repairing a vehicle or boat on public land

Road Opening

Sell or hire, or offer for sale or hire, goods or services, raffle or lottery tickets

Singing, playing a musical instrument, delivering a public address, using sound amplifying equipment

Special uses and events on public land

Street appeals

Tapping into Council Drain

Using a crane, hoist or movable platform, etc on public land

Wedding Ceremonies
