Bunnywoods is a beautiful section of Moonah woodland along the Point Lonsdale foreshore, home to birds, bugs, bats and more. Join this familyfriendly environment day to find out about the plants and animals that call this place home.
This activity will include a guided walk along the tracks of Bunnywoods, a scavenger hunt for kids and some weeding (optional). This woodland has some invasive weeds including Blue Periwinkle that requires community assistance to remove by hand.
The event will end with a complimentary morning tea. Please wear enclosed shoes and weather appropriate clothing. BYO water bottle and hat. Biscuits, tea and coffee and milk varieties will be provided.
Location: This event is in Bunnywoods, the woodland south of Royal Park Caravan Park. Park along Jordan or Williams Road, cross the road towards the foreshore and enter the park via the 'exit only' driveway. Be aware of traffic crossing the road and entering the park. Look for the Bellarine Catchment Network vehicle and signage.
