Residents from across the Borough are invited to try their hand at something new, with a host of local community activities available to join over the coming months thanks to State funding.
As part of the Victorian Government's new Community Activation and Social Isolation (CASI) program, Council has been able to provide funding to local community groups and social clubs that are able to provide emotional support, practical help or social activities.
We recognise that meaningful connections between people and place are essential for good health and wellbeing, and that maintaining these connections throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has been difficult. Therefore, with the help of our local community groups, we've put together this comprehensive list of opportunities for you to participate in.
Highlights include Shedding The Blues' COVID recovery workshops for the body and mind; Sea of Ukes' on tap social event; and ongoing catch-ups with the Point Lonsdale VIEW Club for the voice, interests and education of women (as pictured).
