It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas – and it wouldn’t be Christmas in the Borough without our famous tree lighting.

Come along to Point Lonsdale Primary School Hall on the 7nd of December. Community carols begin at 7.30 pm (with a special guest appearance from the big man himself, Santa) with the lights going on at 8.30 pm.

With a BBQ provided by the Queenscliff Fire Brigade and food vans available, all you need to bring is a picnic rug and the whole family for a fun and festive time. If the weather is inclement, the event will be moved inside to the school hall - rain, hail or shine, the lights will go on.

In order to let the sleigh come through, there will be road closures between

  • Point Lonsdale Road – between Lawrence Road and Bowen Road, and

  • Grimes Road – between Point Lonsdale Road and Nelson Road.

Please note; no traffic movement will be permitted in this area when the road closure is in place.

There will be no impact on public transport.
