The purpose of this policy is to ensure Council sets aside and maintains monies in reserve funds on the Balance Sheet to meet specific legal and discretionary liabilities.
The policy provides for responsible financial management of general revenue allocations for specific reserves, as well as tied government grants and community contributions that have not been utilised in the year of receipt.
